Shuttle Bus
RollerCon Shuttles
We have more shuttle buses this year than ever, and all RollerCon passes includes unlimited shuttle rides. Shuttles will transport you to and from all
key RollerCon locations. Shuttle busses are free with every RollerCon pass. You must have a pass to ride the shuttle. We have both DOUBLE DECKER BUSES (for PM rides) and regular, air-conditioned TOURIST-STYLE COACHES for all day & night.
Shuttles start at 8:30am, end at 2am
Shuttle Stops:
- Hotels: Tropicana and Hooters - Host hotels connected by a parking lot.
- LVSC - Las Vegas Sports Center, where most RollerCon events are located, including training, seminars, Vendor Village, most scrimmages, challenge… and Registration. The first shuttles head over there at 8:30am and the last leaves no earlier than 12:30am. The bus drivers have been directed not to leave anyone behind.
- Foodeater Loops - shuttles stop at Whole Foods on the daytime runs from 830am until 1pm. Yum! But get food on the way to the hotel, because you can’t bring it in the Sport Center.
- Fremont St - Fremont Street Experience hosts challenges Wed-Sat. Shuttles head over there starting at 3:30p; the last shuttle leaves Fremont at 8pm. Coaches & Double-Deckers take this route; bring sunblock & a hat for the Double-Deckers!
- Nightclubs - shuttles head to the “Fruit Loop” nightclub area, home to the World-Famous Double Down, which hosts derby-related bands & the wedding, and Free Zone, a very rollergirl-friendly dance bar featuring activities all during RollerCon. Shuttles start here around dark and go until 2am.
- Sunday Only: Flamingo Banks - shuttles head over to RC05-08 track for outdoors scrimmage on the last night from 9pm to midnight.
** All shuttles stop at the hotels on all runs **
We have scheduled the buses on the hour or half hour - or more often for super high demand route/times. HOWEVER, they’re doing loops and get held up loading in some locations, usually because riders are loading up slowly or begging them to wait for someone running to the stop with a half-unzipped skate bag and half their gear on / off. Or because someone is standing on top. SO, if you HAVE to be somewhere at a certain time, pad your shuttle plan to be sure you’re on time.
The shuttle schedule can, and probably will, change based on demand. Check the sign on the shuttle, which will list its destination – know before you go!
- SHUTTLE RIDES & some fairly obvious RULES:
- Don’t stand up while the bus is driving.
- Double Decker buses are not roller coasters. The drivers get pissed when you raise your arms to touch bridges or overhangs.
- Be nice & listen to the bus drivers; they are allowed to pull over and toss you off the bus.
- If its crowded and you have gear, please put it on your lap so more people can sit.
- You may have cocktails on the bus, but if you finish it, wait til you get off the bus to find a trash can.
Basically: be courteous & flex your head. Thanks!
