RollerCon is 100% created, planned, organized, and staffed by volunteer roller derby skaters and fans just like yourself, and we have a great time doing it. Join our team for a couple hours and earn yourself a shirt and a discount next year - or - if you’re really crazy - join the RollerCon Slaves who do the large planning jobs for free admission and all kinds of other benefits. Or find a job that suits you somewhere in between! Thanks for considering joining us! We’re working on the schedule now and hope to start placing people in volunteer jobs as early as mid-June. In the meantime, we have several categories of jobs, including:

- Registration Workers
- Volunteer Check-In
- Referee / Head Ref
- Stats Soldier
- EMT (experience required)
- Big Dicks (doormen & women)
- Utility Infielders
- Planners (most of these jobs have been filled, however)

Please send the following contact, availability & work info to info@rollercon.com and we’ll get you in our pool so that when we start scheduling we can run through it fast and have the info to you right away. Here’s what we need to know to put you in the Volunteer Pool:

1. CONTACT INFO, including
- Your real name
- Your skate name
- Your league
- Cell phone during Rollercon
- Your email address
- Shirt size in the following format: WM, WL, WXL, MM, ML, MXL, M2XL
- at least one (or more) league references
2. AVAILABILITY: Which days you plan to attend
3. Can you be available for a staff meeting on Tuesday?
4. DURATION: How many hours would you like to work, total. Please mention if you have any special scheduling requests (like, not during scrimmages, or not during the day, etc). Most shift jobs are scheduled in 4-hour blocks.
5. WHEN: what time of day would you prefer to work
6. YOU: what are you good at? Which job category are you interested in? More details will help us schedule you somewhere you’ will love.

Here’s how compensation for volunteers works:

WHAT DO I GET?
All RollerCon volunteers are compensated for their work on our volunteer rolling schedule:
* Up to 5 hours of work qualifies you for a RC volunteer shirt and a discount for the following year.
* 5-25 hours qualifies you for a huge discount, tee and lots of goodies from our sponsors!
* Over 25 hours worked prior to the convention (on our planning crew) got the hardest working volunteers all that stuff plus a free MVP pass for the current year (not available for new volunteers)
* Well over 25 hours - well, there’s only a few do that, and they get the works, including free rooms, free passes and travel stipends, plus even more cool stuff from our sponsors and vendors. These are the jobs we offer to volunteers from past years that work extra hard.
