JULY 25-29

Junior Skaters

Verde Thumb WE LOVE OUR JUNIORS!

But Rollercon IS an adult convention in a very adult city. However…

Junior Derby Skaters are welcome to attend RollerCon with a parent or legal guardian to sign the check-in waiver of liability. Juniors may arrange to have their parents notarize the waiver in advance if they are traveling without their parents.

Parents should contact planning@rollercon.com for the current year’s waiver form.

Ticket and insurance requirements are the same for juniors and adults.

Juniors May Attend:

  • Training Classes* (see below)
  • Seminars
  • Vendor Village
  • Bouts: to watch adults, or play with other juniors
  • Challenges: to watch adults, or play with other juniors
  • Scrimmages: to watch adults, or play with other juniors

There have not traditionally been enough juniors at RollerCon to have junior bouts, challenges or scrimmage jams, but if there are, we’ll schedule them.

Juniors May NOT:

  • Skate in contact drills with adults
  • Skate in bouts, challenges or scrimmages with adults
  • Attend 21+ social events, such as the bar events, Black n Blue Ball, etc.

Juniors are expected to act like responsible adults while they are at RollerCon (in spite of the fact that many of adults do not), and will be asked to leave if they can’t or won’t comply.

RollerCon / USARS Policy:

  • Juniors (with insurance / MVP passes) are welcome to join training classes
  • Juniors MAY NOT do any contact drills or scrimmaging with adults
  • Juniors can participate in skating drills that do not include contact
  • If two or more juniors participate in a class together, they can do **limited light contact** drills *with each other* only.
  • LIMITED LIGHT CONTACT Junior to Junior ONLY.
NO CONTACT between ADULTS and JUNIORS **AT ALL**
