RollerCon Vet? Maybe you remember (and miss) the old banquets we used to have. Here’s the deal. A banquet - ANY banquet - in Las Vegas, is expensive. RollerCon 2005-2009 all had banquets - and it was really fun having (in 09) almost a 1000 derby skaters in one room at dinner. But - x $75 per person with a 1000 person minimum, the math is pretty easy. One of the primary reasons that RollerCon tickets were so expensive was because the banquet was so expensive, and compared to most Vegas casinos, $75 per person is actually CHEAP, believe it or not.

So if you wonder why RollerCon tickets got almost $100 cheaper in 2010 and after, that’s why: we scrapped the big, expensive banquet.
